Service and price

The principal service is individual online coaching supervision for experienced workplace coaches. Sessions last 90 minutes and usually take place every six to eight weeks. The current self-funded fee is £165 per session.

The relationship is ongoing rather than sold as a forced package. Fit and value are reviewed after the first three sessions. The introductory 30-minute conversation is free, is not a supervision session and creates no obligation to continue.

Group or organisation-funded work is available only by separate enquiry, design, quotation and contract.

Payment

  • Each paid session is invoiced individually in advance.
  • Payment is due within seven calendar days of the invoice and no later than 48 hours before the session, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • The invoice will explain the available payment method. Do not put client names or confidential case information in a payment reference.
  • If payment has not arrived by the deadline, the session may be paused or rearranged after contact with you.

Cancellation and rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule without charge by giving at least 48 hours' notice.
  • With less than 48 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, the full session fee is normally payable. Reasonable discretion may be used for genuine emergencies.
  • If Acorn Thinking Space cancels, you may choose prompt rescheduling or a full refund for that session.
  • These practice terms do not remove any statutory consumer right described below.

Distance-contract consumer rights

If you are contracting as a consumer online, by telephone or by email, you will normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.

If you ask for a paid service to begin during that 14-day period and later cancel within it, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for service already supplied. If the service is fully performed during the period after your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may end. The final agreement will record any request to start early.

How to exercise the statutory right to cancel

Send a clear statement to jonathon@acornthinking.space or to the postal address above before the cancellation period expires. You may use the following wording, but do not have to:

To Jonathon Williams trading as Acorn Thinking Space: I give notice that I cancel my contract for coaching supervision. My name is [name]. My address is [address]. The contract was agreed on [date]. Signed [only if sent on paper]. Date [date].

Any refund due following statutory cancellation will be made without undue delay and normally within 14 days of being told about the cancellation, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Contact between sessions

Email may be used for scheduling, payment and brief administrative matters. The normal response aim is two working days. Please do not email client names, identifiable case material, health information or other sensitive personal information.

Reflective or supervisory work belongs in the contracted session unless explicitly agreed otherwise. Acorn Thinking Space is not an emergency, crisis or on-call service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service; for urgent clinical, mental-health or specialist needs, use an appropriate local or specialist service.

Confidentiality and boundaries

Confidentiality is foundational, but it is not absolute. The supervision agreement will explain the boundaries, lawful exceptions, safeguarding or legal disclosure needs, data handling and any organisational sponsorship arrangements before work begins.

Coaching supervision supports reflective professional practice. It is not therapy, line management, performance management, emergency support or a coaching qualification, and it does not guarantee accreditation or a particular result.

Concerns and complaints

  1. Email jonathon@acornthinking.space. Please avoid unnecessary sensitive or client-identifying information in ordinary email.
  2. Receipt will normally be acknowledged within five working days. A secure route will be offered if supporting evidence contains sensitive information.
  3. The issues, desired resolution, confidentiality limits and any conflict of interest will be clarified.
  4. The concern will be considered fairly and proportionately against the supervision agreement and the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors.
  5. A written outcome is aimed for within 20 working days. If more time is needed, the reason and a revised date will be explained.
  6. If an alleged ethical breach remains unresolved, the applicable complaint route of the relevant professional membership body will be provided.

Possible outcomes may include clarification, apology, corrective action, refund where appropriate, a change in practice, referral or ending the relationship. Raising a concern in good faith will not disadvantage you.

Changes and ending the relationship

Either person may raise concerns about fit or propose ending the ongoing relationship. Any booked session, payment, records and transition arrangements will be handled under the agreed terms and with appropriate professional care. Material changes to price or terms will be communicated before they take effect and will not be imposed retrospectively.

Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights.
